Made from rope dyed heavy indigo cotton. The rope dye method does not completely penetrate to the core of the yarn, resulting in varying shades of indigo as the color fades. The weave of the fabric is called Amundsen, named after explorer Amundsen. The back of the fabric is brushed, making it soft to the touch and trapping air for warmth.
