Since the closing of my last retail shop at the Lower East Side in 2011, it has been my dream to open up my new flagship store.  After many tribulations and uncertainties, my retail store at 230 Grand Street was officially open on Nov. 22.  Located in a pre-war building built in 1910, we are happy to now call this our new home to showcase the complete Kai D. collection as well as Brooklyn Grooming, Hudson Made,

Kai D. + Pop Shops

This weekend, October 4th - 6th, Kai D. and Pop Shops are collaborating together to bring you a mobile retail truck on the road. Be sure to follow them on twitter @thepopshops to get their exact location.

Pop Shops creates multi-channel shopping events for emerging designers, online and in a less traditional retail format, through their high-end retail truck. They have taken the best-in-class business practices from pop-up retailing, high-end food trucks, and online retailers and merged them together into one model. They bring fashions top emerging apparel and accessory designers directly to you. A shopping experience like you've never seen before, as if you were shopping directly in a showroom or straight from each designer's atelier. Other designers taking part this weekend are, Michelle Vale, Nesh, Kordal Knitwear, and Cecilia Gonzoles.

Their goal is to create events that are exciting, engaging, and inspiring to customers through a unique avenue. "We want to bring amazing designers with limited distribution directly to the customer" Caryn Neary, founder and CEO of The Pop Shops.

Kai D. Fall 13 New Arrival

It has been a long wait.  Our Fall 13 collection is finally complete.  Inspired by the Terra Nova Expedition led by captain Robert Falcon Scott with the objective of being the first to reach the geographical South Pole.  For this collection, we are using the compact wool felt from Bacci, an Italian artisan mill based just outside of Florence, as well as the timeless wax cotton from Japan.  Our new tie collection is made out of English tweed.  The super comfortable
